Electricity has been fully restored at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, said, after a power outage that flashed back past painful memories.

“A power surge from the PHCN at about 8:56pm on Saturday 27th August, adversely affected the k16 transformer that serves the E-Wing  Air-bridges and rendered them unserviceable, ” said spokesman Mr. Yakubu Dati.

“This affected operations of some departing flights, as the heavy rainfall further delayed attempts by engineers to effect repairs immediately

“However, by 10:50 am on Sunday 28th August, the engineers successfully corrected all defaults and normalcy was again restored at affected areas, ” he added.
