In a new video purportedly released by the Islamic State, ISIS militants execute an alleged Egyptian Army informant by blowing him up in the desert lands of “Wilayat Sayna,” Egypt. The video was released on ISIS terrorist channels on December 12. We are currently uploading the video. Check back shortly.

Mokhtar Awad, a George Washington University-based researcher, tweeted the following early analysis of the video.

Awad’s tweet refers to yesterday’s bombing of St. Peter’s Church, next to the main Coptic church, in central Cairo. According to Al-Jazeera, 25 people were killed when the bomb was either “lobbed” or “placed” in the church. ISIS has not claimed the attack, but ISIS sympathizers celebrated the attack online, reports terrorism analyst Michael S. Smith II.

This is a developing story. Check back for an update.
