Another chilling video, never seen before by The Simon Ateba News team, has unveiled how the self-proclaimed leader of the Independent People of Biafra, in eastern Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu, was planning to bomb and “completely burn Nigeria to the ground”.
The words in the video are chilling and the consequences could have been devastating should he have been allowed to carry out his mass destruction threats of Africa’s most populous nation.
“We are prepared for them, Nigeria will be completely burn to the ground,” he says in the video in response to a question about actualising his Biafra dreams.
Biafra, officially the Republic of Biafra, was a secessionist state in eastern Nigeria that existed from 30 May 1967 to January 1970.
It took its name from the Bight of Biafra, the Atlantic bay to its south. The inhabitants were mostly the Igbo people who led the secession due to economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions among the various peoples of Nigeria. Other ethnic groups that constituted the republic were the Efik, Ibibio, Annang, Ejagham, Eket, Ibeno and the Ijaw among others.
In the video, Nnamdi Kanu attacked Yoruba and threatened to rally scientists in the United Kingdom to make bombs and attack Nigeria.
The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari arrested him when he travelled to Nigeria and he has been undergoing trial and asking for human rights in a country he called Zoo and threatened to completely destroy.
