Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons’ historically strong offense being matched against the New England Patriots’ strong defense has sparked some intriguing props for Super Bowl 51.

With a large 59.5-point total at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, the NFL championship game at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday between the Falcons and Patriots shapes up as a scoring battle.

The over/under on Ryan’s passing yards is 317.5 on the Super Bowl 51 props board, with an over/under of 26.5 completions. Ryan has surpassed the benchmark in four consecutive games, but the Patriots have allowed only four 300-yard games in their last 18 games.

The odds on either Ryan or Tom Brady passing for 415 or more yards to break Kurt Warner’s Super Bowl record are +500.

Ryan has not had a multiple-interception game this season and is pick-free in the playoffs. The over/under on Ryan’s interception total is 0.5, with the under listed at -125 on those Super Bowl 51 betting lines.

The over/under on leading receiver Julio Jones’ reception and yardage totals are 7.0 and 99.5. The Patriots have allowed only four receivers to gain 100 or more yards this season. Taylor Gabriel’s qualities as a deep threat mean he only needs a couple chunk-yardage plays to top his over/under of 56.5. Wide receiver Mohamed Sanu’s over/under is 47.5.

In the NFC Championship Game, Tevin Coleman outgained primary RB Devonta Freeman. The over/under for Freeman’s rushing yards is 57.5. Coleman’s over/under is 37.5, with the over listed at -125. The Patriots have not allowed any individual runner to gain 90 yards in a game this season, although the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell was injured early in the AFC Championship Game.

In the Super Bowl cross-sport props, will Jones’ receiving yardage top the Boston Celtics’ point total in their NBA game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday? The Celtics are a -150 favorite.

Another prop incorporating Jones and the NBA is whether Jones’ reception total will top all-star guard Kyle Lowry’s assist tally for Toronto in their game at Brooklyn. Jones, counting the playoffs, averages 6.2 receptions per game and Lowry is averaging 6.9 assists this season.
