The Nigerian government on Wednesday lifted a controversial restriction on helicopter shuttle to Abuja.
The restriction was imposed after the Abuja airport closed for repairs on its runway.
The office of the National Security Adviser had cited security considerations for the restriction on the shuttles.
But in a statement on Wednesday night, James Odaudu, Deputy Director, Press and Public Affairs, Ministry of Aviation, said helicopter services were resuming immediately.
President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to Nigeria on Friday March 10 flew safely between Kaduna and Abuja by helicopter that same day.
