The country’s secret police, the State Security Services, SSS, also known as DSS, had written a letter to the federal attorney general and minister of justice detailing more details of uncovered corrupt practices by Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The letter, which was published by News Diary Online, contains even more damning evidence against the tainted EFCC boss and it was written at the instance of the Abubakar Malami, the federal attorney general who was directed to investigate the allegations against Ibrahim Magu. The secret police laid out its case against Magu and stressing his unholy relationship with a subject of a corruption case, Air Commodore Mohammed Umar (Rtd) and concluded that he had “questionable credibility”. Like previous DSS communication on the subject matter, it was said by Folashade Bello, on behalf of Lawal Daura, the director-general of the country’s secret police.
