Bethenny Frankel was only married for about two years, but her divorce lasted for nearly four. On reality TV, fans got to see Frankel meet her ex-husband Jason Hoppy, have a baby, get married and ultimately break up. Over the years, Frankel has tried to not talk much about her split, but has said that money changes people and has implied that Hoppy became verbally abusive, along with greedy. Frankel vacated their mutual living space and Hoppy ended up residing in the home they built together after Frankel struck it rich with her Skinnygirl brand. Eventually, the divorce was settled, Hoppy left the apartment and Frankel sold the home. Currently, Frankel is dating a man named Dennis Shields, but her fight with ex-husband Hoppy is far from over. The divorce may be settled, but the ex-couple are still in the middle of a court case, with claims of stalking and harassment against Hoppy, according to Us Weekly. The most recent development in the case is that Hoppy has rejected a plea deal. An NYPD spokesperson told Us Weekly that in January 2017, Hoppy was arrested after contacting Frankel “numerous times via email and FaceTime, and approached [the] victim making verbal threats.” Hoppy allegedly approached Frankel at their daughter Bryn’s school and said: You can play your game. It doesn’t matter. You can get 10 lawyers. There’s nothing you can do to stop me. You’ll be sorry. The case has been adjourned until April 26, 2017.
