Across the country, activists gathered for “March for Science” marches, standing up to recent skepticism or even antagonism that they’ve observed the new administration demonstrate against science like climate change and environmental measures. The main march took place in Washington, D.C., but satellite marches were held around the country. In D.C. alone, thousands of scientists gathered to show their support, despite rainy weather. A rally was held before the march began, addressing issues important to the activists. Click through the gallery to see more photos from the March for Science rallies today and learn more about what happened.
