Report reaching Post-Nigeria, on Saturday morning, indicates that three suicide bombers have been killed, after a deadly bomb explosion killed a Security Guard, at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.
The suicide bombers made fruitless efforts to gain access into the Department of Works, University of Maiduguri, in Borno State.
The University Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said he was yet to ascertain the damage or casualty figure, as a result of the incident.
“I was told about the bomb blast, but I am still working on it, to ascertain the degree of damage. It is very unfortunate”, Ahmed said.
The explosion came a few hours. after the Factional Leader of the Boko Haram insurgent group, Abubakar Shekau, had allegedly threatened to bomb Abuja, and capture President Muhamamdu Buhari.
A Journalist, Ahmad Salkida, who disclosed this on Twitter in a series of tweets, said Shekau made the threat in a yet-to-be-released video.
He said the video also featured Shuaibu Moni, one of the swapped Boko Haram Commanders, threatening the Nigerian authorities, and Buhari.
He noted that a bomb attack on Abuja, is imminent.
