British Prime Minister Theresa May released a short statement Monday evening in response to the deadly terrorist attack outside the Manchester Arena in Manchester. At least 19 people were killed and roughly 50 others injured rocked the venue, just as a concert for pop signer Ariana Grande was concluding.

“We are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack,” May said. “All our thoughts are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected.”

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn reacted to the incident via Twitter:

Terrible incident in Manchester. My thoughts are with all those affected and our brilliant emergency services.

Liberal Democrats leader Tim Farron also issued a statement:

My deepest condolences to the victims and families in Manchester. As always our emergency services have shown great bravery and heroism.
