Christopher WrayU.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he would be nominating Christopher Wray, a former U.S. assistant attorney general under President George W. Bush as FBI director.
Mr. Wray is now in private practice, and his nomination to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation would be coming weeks after Trump sacked James Comey who was leading an investigation into Russia’s interference into the U.S. presidential election.
“I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow,” Trump said in a statement on Twitter.
