LOC Chair Welcomes AGC Conferees

Former Lagos State Solicitor General & Permanent Secretary
Ministry for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro SAN has urged delegates to
the Nigerian Bar Association 2017 Annual General Conference to
ensure that they maximize the opportunity to boost their
professional standing.

In a statement issued at the weekend, Pedro who is also the
Chairman of the AGC Local Organising Committee (LOC), said: “It is
with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Conference Market
Place (CMP) in Lagos the tate of aquatic splendour.”

A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Pedro noted:
“I am aware most of you have traveled long distances to be part of
this conference and this underscores the importance of the
conference.

“I wish all delegates a successful and rewarding
Conference.”

It is recalled that under the leadership of Pedro, the LOC has
been doing a yeoman’s job alongside the TCCP in ensuring a seamless
conference.

In particular, the LOC has been widely commended for the
successful jumat service/prayer church service, courtesy visits to
His Royal Majesty, Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, and the
exquisite Welcome Cocktails hosted by the Chief Judge of Lagos,
Honourable Justice Olufunmilayo Atilade.

Also, the committee has cemented a shuttle bus service to and
from the conference venues.

The eagerly awaited CMP, popularly called “Mammy Market,” is
already booming with activities, even as the seminal football
fiesta has kicked off.
