Balogun has been nominated by the Kwara State Council of the NUJ as
one of the most distinguished Nigerians to be at the foregoing 2017
press week award ceremony slated for Friday, the 29th December,
2017 at the NUJ press, centre, Offa Road, GRA Ilorin.
This was contained in a letter signed by the chairman of the
council, Comrade Abiodun Abdulkareem and the Secretary, Comrade
Babatunde Jimba and addressed to the nominee.
According to the letter which was dated the 5th day of December,
2017, the award is aimed at recognizing him as a frontline legal
practitioner and human right activist.
Bar. Rafiu Balogun has been lauded by the council for
championing the course of justice, good governance and equity the
Nigerian democratic experiment.
The former Chairman of the Ilorin Branch of the NBA is to be
recognized as an ADVOCATE OF GOOD GOVERNANCE AND THE RULE
OF LAW.
