Mr. Oladele Olubakin Philips may be facing disciplinary
actions from A.B. Mahmoud SAN led administration of the NBA.
This fact was made known to the Legal community by the NBA
President himself. According to the learned silk, the allegation
made by the young lawyer was very irresponsible and exposed the
association to ridicule. To him, the allegation will never be
accepted by the legal community.

stated during his opening remarks at the Just concluded NEC meeting
at Ilorin that the issue of respect for seniors lawyers by young
lawyers is one area of concern in the legal profession. The
President whilst using the case of Mr. Philips’ portrait of the
President and the allegation put forth, stated emphatically that
indeed the legal profession needs reforms in all ramifications.

the NBA of presenting his portrait to President Buhari as a
birthday gift without his consent. Although, the NBA had argued
that the portrait was given as a gift, the statement by the NBA
President proves that there is the likelihood that the matter may
not be settled out of court.
