The Chief Judge of Delta State, Honourable Justice Marshal
Umukoro, has inaugurated a five member committee to monitor the
activities of staff of the lower courts in the State.
The inauguration was done following the directive of the Chief
Justice of Nigeria, Walter Samuel N. Onnoghen to all heads of
courts
Speaking at the inauguration, Honourable Justice Marshal
Umukoro, pointed out that the responsibility of the committee
includes to monitor and check laxity, truancy, indiscipline,
unscrupulous staff and report unwholesome practices to the office
of the Chief Judge every three weeks.
“Litigants, Legal Practitioners, the public, including staff of
the various courts are advised to lodge complaints of observed
indiscipline of whatever form and unwholesome practices to the
Public Complaints and Public Information Desk in the office of the
Honourable Chief Judge through the following contact:

“Stakeholders and the general public are assured that complaints
shall be attended to within 48 hours.

Chief Judge.
“Legal Practitioners, Litigants, members of Delta State
Judiciary and the public are enjoined to take full advantage of
this platform.”

task effectively, he also thanked his lordship for the privilege
given to them to serve the state judiciary.
