Arewa Lawyers Forum Inaugurates Caretaker Committee For 2018 Election

At the recently concluded Arewa Lawyers Forum (ALF) General
meeting held at NUT Conference Hotel, Magadishu Lawyout, Off Ahmadu
Belloway, Kaduna, Kaduna State, the meeting which started on
Saturday 17th March, 2018 at about 1800hrs had the stakeholders
deliberate on certain crucial matters affecting the forum.

The meeting was chaired by the forum’s Vice Chairman, G. S.
Pwul, SAN as the Chairman of the forum, His Excellency, M. A.
Abubakar Esq, the Governor of Bauchi State due to his unavoidable
absent could not chair the meeting .

One of the agenda of the meeting was on the leadership of Arewa
Lawyers Forum. At the meeting the congress dissolved the Exco and
appointed new Caretaker Committee to conduct the forthcoming 2018
election after NBA National Election.

Five man Caretaker Committee was constituted and
inaugurated.

Elisha Kurah, SAN is to chair the committee, the members of the
committee include;
Muhammad Mungono Esq, Rabi’atu Aliyu Esq, Binta Ibrahim Esq, and
Liman Salihu Esq

The meeting had the presence of other Bar leaders of Arewa
Extraction, they include NBA President, A. B. Mahmud, SAN, Mr Caleb
Dajan, NBA 1st Vice President, DR Garba Tetengi (mni)SAN, Elisha
Kurah SAN, Nasiru Dangire SAN, Hon AG of Bauchi State, Haruna Mohd
Esq.

There were also past and present Chairmen and Secretaries of
Northern branches of the NBA present at the congress.

Two NBA Presidential Aspirants, Chief Athur Obi Okafor SAN and
Mr Afam Osigwe also paid their homage as visitors.

The Governor of Eastern Bar Forum was also among the visitors
that graced the meeting.

EXCO members of Arewa Lawyers Forum present
include; Garun Gabas, SAN and Junaidu Abubakar Esq, the
Secretary and Publicity Secretary of the forum respectively. Other
Exco members include Safiya Balarabe Esq, Luka Haruna Musa Esq, T.
T. Hyundu Esq, Francis Kozah Esq and Iorchugh Egbayue Esq.
