Jonathan Gunu Taidi Condemns Police Invasion On NBA Ikeja Branch

Nigeria being under the rule of law means that there ought not
to be any restraint to the democratic exercise of fundamental
rights.

Nigerian citizens deserve to fight and defend their rights
whenever it has been trampled upon.

The use of threat by the men of the Nigerian police to
intimidate the Ikeja Branch of the NBA (Tiger Bar) over a peaceful
protest is an affront on democracy.

I condemn in its totality, the act by the men of Nigerian police
to prevent a peaceful expression of right.

I urge both the LAGOS State government and the NBA Ikeja Branch
to effect an amicable resolution to the matter.
