Chief Judge Of Delta State, Hon. Justice Marshal Umukoro, has
appointed Mr. Emmanuel Zimi Dolor the Acting Chief Registrar, High
Court of Justice, Delta State.
Mr. Dolor’s appointment was made after the elevation of the
former Chief Registrar, Justice Celestina Dafe Idise to the
position of High Court Judge in the Delta State Judiciary.
According to a statement from the office of the Chief Judge of
Delta State, Justice Marshal Umukoro, the new Chief Registrar
practised as a Solicitor and Advocate with many reputable Law
firms, including T. J. Onomigbo Okpoko (SAN) and Co. before
establishing his own firm in 1997
The acting Chief Registrar was appointed a Magistrate of the
Delta State Judiciary in September 2000. He has served in various
Judicial capacities, including Administrative Magistrate,
Arbitrator, member of Committee of Enquiry to Investigate
Complaints against Senior Magistrate and Assistant Director of
Courts, and chairman of Local Government Tribunal.
He bagged a Bachelor’s of Laws degree from the University of
Benin in 1992, was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1993,
holds two Master degrees of Laws and Business Administration from
the University of Benin.
His appointment takes immediate effect.
