A USA-based host company, Bluehost, has suspended the website of
the Nigerian Senate, http://www.senate.gov.ng
No official reaction by the Nigerian Senate as at press time as
telephone calls placed to the New Media department of the Senate
was left unanswered.
Also, Bluehost is yet to issue an official statement for the
action. Meanwhile, Nigerians on social media are reacting to the
development with some asking why the Senate failed to patronize
Nigerian host companies.

King4Roller: They didn’t use the hosting companies in Nigeria.
It says a lot about the #MadeInNigeria campaign embarked upon by
this government.
LibertyRep: Yet these people will be championing ‘Buy Naija Grow
Naija’ Thieving hypocrites.
Myboy2111: They could not pay for hosting and domain renewal
Ebuk4real: Shame…If they can’t maintain the site of the
institution that provides them the platform to criminally steal us
drive, how dare we think they will keenly protect & ensure
Nigeria is better for us all?
