Melaye Turns Himself In, Detained At Police SARS Office Abuja

Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District
has been detained at the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) of
Nigeria Police Guzape Abuja after he had voluntarily turned himself
in on Tuesday.

Melaye had announced on his Twitter handle his readiness to
appear before the police after protracted hide and seek game
between him and the police who laid siege on his house on
Monday.

Melaye was said to have came out of his house and was
accompanied by armed policemen who have been keeping vigil on the
house to the SARS office where is being detained.

It was gathered that he went in company of few of his aides. As
at time of this story police are still at the premises of his
house.

It is not clear if Melaye will be taken to Lokoja in Kogi State
to face his trial which was brought against him by the police.
