Adegboruwa, Ebun-Olu Samuel

A Lagos based legal practitioner and a human rights activist,
Ebun-olu Adegboruwa, has supported the striking of workers by
Nigerian Lagos Congress.

In a statement, the legal activist, on Monday said how can one
claim to be an activist or a comrade and refused to be in agreement
with the decision of the Nigerian Labour Congress

According to Ebun-ola, can you be a Comrade, a Progressive or an
Activist, and you are opposed to the legitimate demand of workers
for better pay? How? I just can’t get it!

“Yes, there have been several inconsistencies and
disappointments from the labour front in times past, but that can’t
be enough reason to antagonize or frustrate the struggle for
improved wages for workers.

“I support any lawful means that will empower workers and allow
them to earn a living wage.

“It does not lie in the mouth of politicians to deny workers
enhanced welfare packages when we all know what the politicians
earn for themselves.

“Let the strike begin please,” Ebun-olu Adegboruwa, Esq.
said.

The Nigerian Labour Congress on Monday said workers must go on
strike comes tomorrow being Tuesday, despite the subsisting court
order on this issue of strike.
