NBA-SBL Roundtable On Nigeria’s Petroleum Industry Reforms

The Energy, Natural Resources and Environment Committee of the
NBA- SBL in collaboration with the Facility for Oil Sector
Transformation (FOSTER II), held a Roundtable on Nigeria’s
Petroleum Industry Reforms on Wednesday 14th November at the Eko
Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Forum which was moderated by Dr. Adeoye Adefulu, Secretary,
NBA-SBL had in attendance sector Regulators, NBA-SBL members,
Industry Practitioners, and a faculty of expert resource persons to
discuss and analyze the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB)
which is yet to be assented to by the President, the Petroleum Host
Communities Bill, the Petroleum Fiscal Bill, as well as the
Petroleum Administration Bill.

Discussion were led by seasoned Industry Practitioners including
Messrs Osten Olorunsola, formerly a Director in the Department of
Petroleum Resources; Gbenga Biobaku, Managing Partner, Gbenga
Biobaku & Co.; Joseph Nwakwue, Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister
of State at the Ministry of Petroleum Resources; Israel Aye,
Managing Partner, Primera Africa Legal; and Kemi Segun, Chairman,
NBA-SBL, Energy, Natural Resources & Environment Committee.
