Pant thieves to be charged with attempted murder not stealing – Police

The Nigerian police have now reacted to the alarming increase of
underwears thieves.

In recent times, some old and young Nigerians have been caught
with ladies’ underwears, including bra and pants, the most
common.

Some days ago, a 60-year old man was arrested with panties and
used sanitary pads.

Reacting, the police said most confessions by suspects confirm
that the items are being used for ritual purposes.

According to the security agency, such will henceforth be
treated as serious cases while those apprehended will be charged
for attempted murder.

Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), CSP Dolapo
Badmos, said this at the weekend on her Instagram page.

She wrote: “What is the in thing about about the increase in
stealing of underpants! Learnt the ones caught in the act always
confess to using it for rituals whereof the owner die
prematurely.

“Henceforth, anyone caught stealing pants might not be charged
for stealing but attempted murder. This has to stop.”

She wrote;
