The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, has
sworn in 250 members of the general election tribunals.
At the swearing-in ceremony which took place in Abuja on
Saturday, the acting CJN urged the members of the election
tribunals to discharge their duties with integrity as well as the
fear of God.
The event was held at the Supreme Court Complex, Abuja on
Saturday.
The embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter
Onnoghen, did not attend the swearing-in ceremony.
It was observed that unlike the protocol where justices of the
Supreme Court attend such functions with the CJN, only one of the
Supreme Court justices, Justice Sidi Baage joined the Acting CJN,
