elected Governor of the EBF delivering his acceptance speech!
Eastern Bar Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association on Saturday
elected new Executive Committee that will pilot the affairs of the
Forum for the next 2 years.
S. Long Willians, a Legal Practitioner
based in Port Harcourt returned unopposed as the new Governor of
the Forum.
The election which was held at Anambra State Bar Center, Onitsha
also returned unopposed the following persons into the
Executive.
* Ishmael Nkwocha as the Deputy Governor
* Sir Ray Akarwan as the Secretary
* Gerrard Eze as the Financial Secretary
* Sammy Etuk as the Assistant Secretary and Nnamdi Anagu as a
member.
TNL gathered that states such as Abia, Cross River, and Bayelsa
had inclusive nominations.
Stanley C. Imo, 1st Vice President of the NBA; Chief Arthur Obi
SAN; and Chief Emeka Obegolu President of the Pan African Lawyers’
Union (PALU) were all present at the EBF quarterly meeting in the
Anambra State Bar Centre.

The new exco were returned unopposed and immediately sworn in at
the conclusion of the election.
