WHO MUST MAKE YEARLY PLANS FOR CUSTODIAL AND
NON-CUSTODIAL SERVICES IN NIGERIA.

Going by the Nigerian Correctional Service Act 2019, there are
custodial and non-custodial services in Nigeria. The Nigeria
Correctional Services is in charge of both custodial and
non-custodial services in any part of Nigeria.

It is the Controller-General in charge of Nigeria Correctional
Service that must prepare yearly plans for custodial and non
custodial services as well as deploy officers and staff of Nigerian
Correctional Services. And, also create platform for interfacing
with criminal justice institutions.

My authority is section 4 of the Nigerian Correctional Service
Act, 2019.
