Mr. Ade Adegbite, FICMC has applauded the Legal Practitioners
Privileges Committee (LPPC) over the announcement of the successful
applicants for the exalted rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN),
describing it as a positive trend.

Furthermore, he has congratulated all the successful applicants
and prayed for them on the occasion of this new feat.

This is contained in a statement he issued which was made
available to Nairalaw

“ I congratulate all the newly approved silk designate. This is
really a special dispensation. That over 70 applicants successfully
scaled through the rigorous screening process is a good development
and I congratulate the LPPC for this positive trend. I hope and
pray it will be sustained” he said.

In addition, he expressed delight and noted that he is “super
elated seeing the names of many of my big brothers and senior
colleagues, many close friends and academic scholars on the list. I
feel so proud of all of them and pray that they shall live to be
sworn in December; and may they always honour the silky robe and be
Blessings to the Legal Profession and its members.”

Meanwhile, he stated that those who didn’t make it this year,
that by design of providence, they will be conferred as SANs next
year.

“I also pray most fervently, that those who did not make it this
year will by the Grace of God be successful next year.”

“I must specially celebrate these my ‘egbons’ and friends:
Obafemi Adewale, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, Taiwo
Kupolati, Chief Richard Oma Ahonaruogho, Babatunde Ogala, Olusegun
Fabunmi, Aare Biola Olagunju, Oluseun Abimbola, Rasheed Adegoke,
Abulwahab Mohammed and not forgetting my dear sisters Oluwatoyin
Bashorun, Funmi Quadri and Boma Alabi. I also celebrate my dear
friends Mazi Afam Osigwe, Chukwuka Ikwuazom, Oladapo Akinosun, Dada
Awosika and the youthful Prof. Damilola Olawuyi, whose exploits at
early age deserves special commendation”, he added.

Finally, he beseeched that all those who equally aspired to
become Senior Advocate of Nigeria, may their aspirations come
true.

“May the aspirations of all those who desire the privilege and
work towards it become a reality in good time. Congratulations to
all Senior Advocate of Nigeria designate”, he concluded.
