He explained that the victims were released some minutes past
4pm around the Kidanda area in Giwa Local Government Area of the
state, and were on their way back to the state capital.

He said, “Yes, they have been released. They are on their way
from the forest where they have been kept for the past 50
days.”

Usman, however, refused to disclose the amount paid as ransom to
the bandits for the release of the students.

Authorities in the state and the Kaduna State Police Command
have yet to confirm the latest development.

On March 11, 2021 bandits invaded the school located in Afaka
along the Kaduna International Airport Road and abducted 39
students.

The bandits demanded N500 million as ransom for their
release.

However, ten of the 39 abducted students were earlier released
by their abductors in two batches of five each.
