Preliminary inquiries into the death of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, will commence this Friday, September 29th in Lagos.
This was disclosed in a letter from the Lagos State Chief Coroner’s office dated September 26th.
The letter addressed to lawyer Festus Ogun stated that Hon. Justice M.A Dada has ordered an inquest into Mohbad’s death per Ogun’s prior request. Ogun had petitioned the Chief Coroner citing the 27-year-old’s strange and suspicious passing.
The court notified that preliminary proceedings will begin on Friday at 12pm in Magistrate Court 3 at the Candide-Johnson Courthouse in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Mohbad was found dead in his Lagos residence on September 12th under unclear circumstances. His demise sparked intense speculation and calls for a thorough investigation.
The coroner’s inquest represents the first step in authoritatively determining the cause of the rising Afropop star’s shocking death. All eyes will be on the Ikorodu court as proceedings get underway to uncover the truth behind this tragedy.
