Handi Danbaki, recently evicted from the Big Brother Naija ‘No Loose Guard’ season, has expressed her willingness to engage in a legal battle with fellow housemate Ben over sexual assault allegations that surfaced during their time on the show.
In a recent interview with Classic 97.3 FM, Lagos, Handi addressed the legal threat made by Ben, who has vowed to take action against her and her twin sister, Wanni, for accusing him of sexually assaulting Handi during the show.
Handi revealed that she had initially decided to let the matter slide after Ben apologized to her during their time in the Big Brother house. “I forgot about the issue because after the Saturday night party, he [Ben] came to my ear and said, ‘That’s not who I am, that’s not who I am,’” she recalled. “He was crying to my ear and I was like, okay, I will drop the case. That’s why I looked past it.”
However, upon leaving the house, Handi was surprised to learn of Ben’s intention to pursue legal action. She firmly stood her ground, stating, “But he did do that. And I told him, you did what you did. I really wished Biggie had shown me the video or anything but I’m a woman, I know my body. I know when someone does something to me. I’m not a baby. And I will never come out to say someone did something to me when I’m not sure about it.”

Handi made it clear that she is prepared to face Ben in court if necessary. “I’m still standing my ground but I chose to forget about it but if he wants to take it legally he should come, I’m ready for it,” she declared.
The sexual assault allegations against Ben and the subsequent legal threats have sparked discussions about the need for a thorough investigation into the matter and the importance of creating a safe environment for all reality show participants.
