Kunle Edun, SAN, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Honorable Justice Oluwakayode Ariwoola, the immediate past Chief Justice of Nigeria, and Olorogun Albert Akpomudje, SAN, for their appointments as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, of the Body of Benchers.
In a statement, Edun expressed confidence in the leadership abilities of both Justice Ariwoola and Akpomudje, noting that they possess the requisite experience and capacity to effectively fulfill their mandates.
As life benchers, both leaders have a deep understanding of the legal system, and Edun believes they will work to restore sanity to the judiciary and the legal profession.
Edun emphasized the timeliness of their appointments, as Nigeria is currently in need of reforms to bring about a fair and just justice delivery process. He highlighted the critical role the Body of Benchers plays in ensuring the integrity of the legal profession.
“I am confident that under their leadership, the next year will witness policies and reforms aimed at restoring the lost confidence of Nigerians in our legal system,” Edun remarked.
