Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb(UK), has called on legal practitioners across the country to renew their commitment to justice, fairness, and integrity as Christians commemorate Palm Sunday.
In a goodwill message addressed to learned silks, seniors, and colleagues, Akangbe reflected on the significance of Christ’s humble entry into Jerusalem, describing it as a moment filled with peace, courage, and unwavering devotion to a higher purpose.
“In the same spirit, we, as legal practitioners, are called to be torchbearers of justice, fairness, and integrity,” he said.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria emphasized that the sacred season should inspire members of the Bar to deepen their resolve and uphold the rule of law with compassion and purpose.
“May this sacred season renew our strength, deepen our resolve, and inspire us to uphold the rule of law with compassion and purpose,” Akangbe urged.
He concluded by wishing all a blessed and reflective Palm Sunday.
