Dr. Jill Stein, the presumptive presidential nominee for the Green party, is sharp-witted and funny, not afraid to speak her mind. This means that if she could make it onto the debate stage, she would likely hold her own against Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. But to get there, she needs more name recognition so she can poll at 15 percent in five national polls before the debates. Although getting on the debate stage is a long shot, her quick-witted use of Twitter might help her along the way.
During Donald Trump’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, Stein live tweeted her responses. These are among the best:

The tweet above was a favorite among her supporters. Someone asked: “Who are you again?” And a supporter responded: “Your next president… In some sane parallel universe.” Zach on Twitter wrote: “Sorry doctor but I didn’t follow through with your reccomendation.” Another person responded, correcting his spelling. Zach wrote back: “maybe if I could afford higher education I would have gotten that one right ¯_(ツ)_/¯…”

Sometimes her tweets, like the one above, were harsher, without the humor. Stein isn’t afraid to speak her mind, which she did again below:
She also called Trump out for his statements about the killing of police, mentioning that racism was also a factor:

She also took time to mention parts of her own platform during her live tweets:

Trump did give a powerful speech at the Republican National Convention. But many of his presidential opponents gave powerful responses also. Jill Stein has a history of being straightforward and bluntly funny. One of her next stops is going to be a campaign rally in Philadelphia on July 25, which we’ll be covering.
