The Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI) on Monday urged bus conductors in the state to be civil in their dealings with commuters and other road users.
Mr. Philip Ogunlade, the Chief Executive Officer of LASDRI, gave the charge in his address at a one-day training and accreditation of bus conductors in Lagos State.

A combined team of policemen and men of the Department of State Services on Monday halted a peaceful procession of the Bring Back Our Girls group at the Independence Avenue, Abuja.
The protesters, who were clad in red shirts and armed with placards, had taken off from the Unity Fountain, Maitama, with the aim of seeing President Muhammadu Buhari to demand an update on the abducted Chibok girls.

A 28-year-old chef, Emmanuel Udoh, who allegedly stole his girlfriend’s N100, 000, was on Monday in Lagos granted a N100, 000 bail.
An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, which gave the ruling, also asked Udoh to provide two sureties in like sum as part of the bail condition.

Taxi Driver Breaks LASTMA Official’s Leg, Gets Indefinite Bail Denial
The Lagos taxi driver, Agbariko Sunday, who allegedly drove his seized car over a LASTMA official’s leg on Aug. 15, is to remain in prison custody until the official’s health improves, a magistrate has ruled. Sunday was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on grievous harm, according to newsmen.
An Ogudu Magistrates’ Court had, in a ruling, suspended hearing of the bail application of the accused until the health condition of the official was ascertained. NEXIM Bank, AFREXIM Bank, Others Move to Revamp Cocoa Sector
In the bid to revive the ailing cocoa Industry in the country, the Afreximbank and the International Cocoa Organisation (ICCO) met with the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) and the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) to discuss possible ways of intervention and development of the Cocoa Industry in Nigeria.
The visiting team was led by the Regional Head of Project Finance Afreximbank, Mr. Kofi Adumaku, and Mr. A.S Kurama of the Bank of Agriculture.

Finance Minister Seeks Islamic Bank’s Support
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun has called on the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to support Nigeria in rebuilding the North Eastern part of the country ravaged by Boko Haram.
