Can-Am Duel 2017 Results & Daytona 500 Starting Lineup

Chase Elliott didn’t need to win his Can-Am Duel on Thursday night–he already secured the pole in the Daytona 500–but he was out to to make a statement.

The 21-year-old did exactly that, winning the first Duel in impressive fashion to secure 10 championship points and put himself in some impressive historical company:

An aggressive Jamie McMurray finished second and will thus start right behind Elliott at the Great American Race, while Corey LaJoie secured the open-charter spot thanks to a wreck to Reed Sorenson.
