She was accompanied by family members and associates.In a message she ended with “Mrs. Aisha Buhari, wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria”, Nigeria’s First Lady stepped into the big but empty shoes of her husband on Sunday with a message directly from her to Nigerians, even as her husband continues to treat himself in London.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been treating himself in London since May 7 and Mrs. Buhari has been trying to fill the gap with statements to the media on behalf of herself and husand.
“On this occasion of Eid el Fitr celebration, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, I felicitate with Nigerians and the Muslim Ummah over this opportunity to get closer to Allah (SWT),” Mrs. Buhari said in a statement to THE SIMON ATEBA NEWS before she proceeded to the Guards Brigade Mambila Barracks to offer Eid El Fitr Prayers.

“I also thank Nigerians for all their prayers for our dear country and the President, and call on all to imbibe the spirit of love, compassion and unity as basic lessons of Ramadan,” she added.
“I appeal to all to show true sense of patriotism for national cohesion to ensure that Nigeria attains the greatness for which it was destined.
