JUST IN: Court Frustrates The Attempt To Stop Unity Bar AGM

Once again, the attempt by Victor Ekim’s counsel to frustrate
the Unity Bar AGM fails as Court declines to stop Unity Bar AGM
scheduled for Friday 7th July 2017.

Justice Adeniyi of the High Court of the Federal Capital
Territory sitting in Apo declined the application to stop NBA Abuja
Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for Friday 7th July, 2017.

At the hearing yesterday in the case between Victor Ekim v
Ezenwa Anumnu, Honourable Justice Adeniyi refused an application
made by Steve Emilieze and Godwin Diugwu to stop the AGM slated for
7th July, 2017.

Justice Adeniyi declined an application to commit Ezenwa Anumnu
contempt of Court. Tolu Bableye and Lawrence Umudu representing the
defendant, Ezenwa Anumnu.

The Judge in his ruling acknowlegded the Notice of Appeal in
court file and the records transmitted and asked to the Plaintiff
to direct the application to the court of Appeal since the matter
was already on appeal.

The matter was adjourned sine dine.
