Buhari and Osinbajo on March 10, 2015Nigeria’s Acting President, Mr. Yemi Osinbajo, is on his way to the United Kingdom to see ailing President Muhammadu Buhari, his office said on Tuesday.
Mr. Osibanjo’s spokesman, Mr. Laolu Akande, said in a tweet: “AgP Osinbajo meeting with President Buhari in London today, and returning to Abuja immediately afterwards”.
It would be the first time that both leaders would meet since Mr. Buhari left Nigeria on May 7.
He’s not been seen in public since that day. It was Mr. Buhari’s second trip this year, after first spending 50 days there between January 19 and March 10.
On May 7, Mr. Buhari left Nigeria without saying when he would return and after handing power over to Vice President, Osinbajo.
