Jack Posobiec

Hours after taking criticism for not going far enough to condemn recent violence by white nationalists, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to accuse the media of being too harsh on him.

Made additional remarks on Charlottesville and realize once again that the #Fake News Media will never be satisfied…truly bad people!

Trump arrived back to New York City from a day trip to Washington D.C. When returned, he was greeted by hundreds of protesters in the city outside of Trump Tower.

Then, the president went one step further on his claims that he’s being treated unfairly. He re-tweeted a known Alt-Right voice, who shared a news story about violence in Chicago nation over the weekend, questioning why that hasn’t been covered much.

“Meanwhile: 39 shootings in Chicago this weekend, 9 deaths. No national media outrage. Why is that?” 31-year-old Jack Posobiec tweeted.

Posobiec is military veteran who’s emerged as a voice of the Alt-Right movement. He was overjoyed that he got re-tweeted by the president and went live on his Twitter account alongside his fiancee to express his feelings to his followers.

“I didn’t expect it to happen,” he said as he is greeted by his overjoyous fiancee. “I was like, why am I getting so many notifications all of a sudden.”

1. Posobiec is a Conservative Journalist & Former Military Member

Pack Posobiec

Posobiec is as a white nationalist that’s also a veteran of the United States Navy. According to his LinkedIn page, he was a student at Temple University where he double-majored in political science and broadcast journalism.

After graduating from the school, he joined the Navy and was stationed in Asia. He did that for five years and returned to the U.S. to work as a volunteer on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, The New Yorker reported.

After serving as a volunteer, he joined a conservative media outlet and has since gained a strong social following. Posobiec has attended parties and rallies for figures of the far right, such as Milo Yiannopoulos.

Posobiec’s biography says that he’s fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has worked for four presidential campaigns in his past.

2. Posobiec Had Tweeted About the Violence in Charlottesville All Day

Posobiec has been extremely active on Twitter since the August 12 domestic terrorism act in Charlottesville, Virginia. A woman, 32-year-old Heather Heyer, was killed and 19 more were injured when a man rammed his vehicle into a group of counter protesters. The group was demonstrating against a rally that brought various hate groups to the area, including the Ku Klux Klan and the Neo-Nazis.

Posobiec has been critical the mainstream media for what he says is overplaying Heyer’s death and the Charlottesville white nationalist rally. He said the media’s constant coverage and outrage is supporting terrorism.

He was especially critical of CNN, a network he claims is “trying to start Civil War 2 for ratings.”

Posobiec also accused the main stream media of being hypocritical in their coverage of past instances of terrorism.

3. Posobiec & Laura Loomer Interrupted an Anti-Trump Play Months Ago

In June, when the controversial play “Julius Caesar” was showing at The Public Theater for Shakespeare in the Park in New York City, Posobiec was removed from the audience after he called the crowd “Nazis”

Posobiec was protesting the play, which depicts a Trump-like character being killed by a group of senators who conspired together.

Posobiec was embedded into the crowd along with Conservative colleague Laura Loomer, who interrupted the play first by walking onto the stage. Loomer was greeted with overwhelming boos from the crowd and was removed by security. As the audience applauded her removal, Posobiec stood up and accused the play of “inciting terrorism against the president.”

Loomer was taken into police custody and charged with disorderly conduct, and Posobiec launched a campaign to fund to cover for her citation.

The website FreeLaura.com was started to call for her release and lobby for signatures to a petition. In addition, a legal-defense fund was created on WeSearchr.com, raiding over $13,000.

4. Posobiec Promoted the ‘Pizzagate’ Theory

Posobiec has actively promoted the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory, which emerged during the 2016 presidential election.

Last fall, the email of John Podesta was hacked and thousands of emails from the Democratic Party emails were made public by WikiLeaks. The theory states that the emails had coded messages that referred to human trafficking, alleging the Democratic Party was part of a child-sex ring. The theory has been disproved and was one of the first pieces of “fake news” that went viral.

The theory claimed that the child-sex ring was occurring at Comet Ping Pong in Washington D.C.

In November 2016, Posobiec said he was so curious about the theory that he went to check out the restaurant for himself with a friend. He broadcast his visit onto social media, telling the Washington Post he wanted to show the world what it was like.

“Part of the experience of living in 2016 is live, on-the-scene broadcasts,” he told the newspaper. “People have lost faith with government and the mainstream media being any real authority. After the Iraq War, after Benghazi, people are searching for other sources of information. If I can do something with Periscope and show what I’m seeing with my own two eyes, that’s helpful.”

Posbiec went into what appeared to be a child’s birthday party and broadcast it before he was asked to leave.

Posobiec’s video went viral, and many across the world and hatched similar plans to visit the restaurant to investigate for themselves.

In December, a 28-year-old man drove from North Carolina and fired three shots at the restaurant. The man, Edgar Maddison Welch, was arrested without incident. He told police that he read online about the pizza place having child sex slave and he went to investigate if they were indeed there.


5. Posobiec Worked at The Rebel & Has Been at White House Press Briefings

Posobiec are described as being right-wing journalists and activist for The Rebel, a Canadian right-wing outlet which has produced different forms of Conservative media such as news articles and opinion pieces.

Posobiec’s biography says that he’s a writer, a filmmaker and a “recovering” political operative.

In his spare time, he likes theater and is a member of the #SlavRight movement, meaning “we’re Slavic and we’re on the right.”

In May, it was reported that Posobiec had been granted credentials to be at White House press briefings for a day. He told The Atlantic that he planned on being at the White House “a couple times a week.”
