In huge numbers, they quickly out-numbered those who opposed the President at daily rallies last week. Supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari stormed Aso Rock, the Nigerian seat of power, on Monday, to voice their love for the recovering leader who has been treating himself in London since May 7. Protests exploded last week in the Nigerian capital calling on Mr. Buhari to resume work or resign after three months abroad. Protesters said Mr. Yemi Osinbajo, who is acting as President, did not enoy full power to take major decisions. But Mr. Buhari’s supporters argued that the President did the right thing by handing over power and has not broken any law. With protests and counter protests, Mr. Buhari’s media team quickly travelled to London at the weekend. The pictures and videos released showed an upbeat President waiting for doctors clearance to come back home.
