All Filed Processes Must Carry Legal Mail, Court Of Appeal Informs Counsel

Taking effect from the 5th November 2018, any process filed by
counsel in the Court of Appeal must carry an official Legal Mail
Address as part of their address for service.

This notice was given in the Court of Appeal, Holden at Jos, and
signed by the Head of Department, Litigation, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba,
on behalf of the Deputy Cheif Registrar, pursuant to the directive
of the Honourable Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice W.S.N
Onnoghen, GCON, on the use of the legal mail in court.

Pursuant to the directive of the Honourable Chief Justice of
Nigeria, Hon. Justice W. S. N. Onnoghen, GCON vide a letter with
Ref. No. NJC/13/17/12/Vo1.1/96 datd 19th September,
2018 to the Hon. President of Court of Appeal in respect of the
above subject matter.

I am directed to inform ALL Counsel that henceforth, any
process filed by them in this Honourable Court MUST carry an
official Legal Mail Address as part of their address for
service.

AND TAKE NOTICE that this directive takes
effect from Sth November, 2018 and all Counsel are advised
to strictly adhere to same as any process that does not carry the
legal mail shall not be attended to.
