Dickson won’t sign life pension bill – TheNigerialawyer

Strong indication emerged on Monday that Bayelsa State Governor
Seriake Dickson will not sign the controversial life pension bill
passed by the state House of Assembly.

A source close to the governor said Dickson frowned at the
provisions of the bill and had decided to withhold his assent.

The source, who is part of the media team to the governor, said
Dickson had prepared a letter for transmission to the leadership of
the House advancing reasons for withholding his assent.

It was also learnt report by a national daily (not
TheNigerialawyer) that the governor was prepared to sign the bill
was misleading
