The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reappointed
his deputy Nasir Gawuna as commissioner of Agriculture, just as he
reappointed his commissioner for Local Government, Murtala
Sule-Garo.
The immediate-past commissioner for Justice and Attorney General
of Kano State, Ibrahim Mukhtar, also retained his portfolio in the
new cabinet.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Kano State House of Assembly screened
and confirmed the 20 commissioner nominees sent for screening by
the governor.
The commissioners were subsequently sworn-in by the governor at
the Indoor Sports Hall, Sani Abacha Stadium.
Government sources said the governor will hold first executive
council meeting alongside the new commissioners at the Council
Chamber, Kano Government House tonight.
