NIS Commissions N192m Zamfara Command
Complex
The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad
Babandede MFR has commissioned the Nigeria Immigration Service
Zamfara State Command in Gusau.
It is another milestone in the Service resolve to build more
command complexes across the country.
He was represented by ACG Mohammed Aminu Mohammed mni, Zonal
Coordinator Zone B, Kaduna.
So far in three years of the steering of the affairs of the
Nigeria Immigration Service, the service has Commissioned command
complexes in Kano, Jigawa, Plateau, Abia, Akwa Ibom and now Zamfara
in Gusau the State Capital.
The Zamfara project awarded on the 28th November 2018 and
commenced construction in January 2019 and completed in November
2019 at the cost of N192, 404,794.05 naira.
A prototype of what the NIS has all over the Federation.
The leadership of NIS decided to embark on projects such as this
to alleviate the problems of Inadequate office space, lack of
comfortable lounge for passport applicants, lack of conducive
environment befitting a regimented service of the status of NIS,
modern facilities necessary for efficient discharge of our
statutory responsibilities that were evidently lacking.
With this structures in place maintenance culture became
imperative for our officers and men to sustain this legacy
projects.
