ORHIONMWON LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SPEAKER, HON. HOPE ENOGIERU
CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR GODWIN OBASEKI, COMRADE PHILIP SHAIBU, MRS
BETSY OBASEKI AND MRS MARYAM SHAIBU ON THEIR VICTORY
The legislative Speaker of the Orhionmwon Local Government
council, Hon. Hope Enogieru sends his congratulatory message to His
Excellency, Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and His Deputy, Comrade
Philip Shaibu. He also extends the congratulations to their wives,
Mrs Betsy Obaseki and Mrs Maryam Shaibu.
Hon. Hope Enogieru described the Governor and deputy as true
Heros and fighters, despite the pressure and challenges, despite
being abandoned by so many aides, despite the discouragement and
treatment melted on them by the self acclaimed Godfathers, they
stood strong and fought hard for a better life for the Edo people.
He encouraged the Governor and his deputy to continue standing with
the people and keep winning.
He described the role played by his deputy, Comrade Philip
Shaibu as Loyalty personified, a dogged Comrade and fighter. He
wished Nigerian Governors can have a deputy in the likes of Comrade
Philip Shaibu, who stood firm with the Governor in fighting the war
Lords to stand still. He also described the First Lady and the wife
of the deputy Governor as women of virtues. The Love and support
shown to their Husbands is one never seen in the history of
political struggle cause their role was clearly spelt out, despite
life threats and risks although, they took out time in their
capacity with some women leaders in the state to campaign
vigoriously to see their Husbands re-elected. He sees their actions
as emulating for upcoming women in politics as they have drawn a
clear map for other women to follow.
He appreciated the good people of Orhionmwon for coming out en
masse to cast their votes for the incumbent Governor and the
People’s Democratic party. He said that in all his years in
politics, never saw a democratic process like the one that took
place in Edo where the incumbent Governor emerged. He appreciated
the independent National Electoral Commission for their neutrality
and a transparent electioneering process.

Hon. Hope Enogieru appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for
his Neutral role, senses a sign of Hope in our democracy. He used
the opportunity to assure the people of the continued development
stride of Governor Godwin Obaseki in Edo state and Orhionmwon
precisely.
Hon. Hope Enogieru who showed so much excitement in the good
people of Orhionmwon for their show of love for the Governor even
when the opponent and candidate of the All Progressives Congress,
Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu is from Orhionmwon, the people stood
against him and delivered overwhelmingly for The People’s
Democratic Party as a result of trust in the administration of the
Governor and believe in continuity. The people believed so much in
the Governor and stood by their conscience despite the vote buying
by the All Progressives Congress.
Hon. Hope Enogieru encouraged the people to continue standing
and defending Democracy as displayed by them in the election,
assures of a better Orhionmwon and to fight a good course in
attracting more development in Orhionmwon.
He concluded by expressing optimism that the second term
administration of the Governor and his deputy, Comrade Philip
Shaibu will set a New Dawn in the political, Religious and Economic
development of our dear state and the people should remain resolute
and continue fighting to elect good leaders.
