Her retirement came when she was petitioned by the Osun Civil
Societies Coalition for her failure to conduct herself in a manner
preserving the dignity of her office, impartiality and independence
of the Judiciary.

The NJC, in suspending Justice Oloyede, stated that it found
that she had conducted herself in a manner inimical to the dignity
of her office as well as impartiality and independence of the
judiciary when she sent a petition against then Governor of the
state, Rauf Aregbesola, and his deputy to the State House of
Assembly.

She had also circulated the petition to 36 persons and
organizations.
