The three lawyers who were recently arrested by the Police in Rivers State while preparing documents for the All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial election petition have reportedly regained freedom this evening.
The foremost human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, disclosed this this evening.
“I have just confirmed that the 3 lawyers and their support staff have just been released by the police.
But the documents seized from them have not been released by the police.”
Recall that the NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau SAN, Human Rights activist, Femi Falana SAN had all called for the immediate release of the lawyers who were apprehended for no just reason.
The NBA President has promised to ensure that all police officers complicit in the illegal arrest will be investigated and brought to book..
