Tunisia’s Inflation Rate Steadies at 7.5% in March
The consumer inflation rate in Tunisia remained unchanged at 7.5% year on year in March 2024, according to statistics office.
Details showed that prices accelerated the percentage for housing and utilities increased from 3.8% in February 2024 to 4.3%. health increased to 9.3% from 9.1%.
Meanwhile, price growth slowed down for transport to settle at 3.3% from 3.7% in the previous period and recreation & culture experienced similar movement, down to 4.9% from 5.2%.
Data showed that prices remained unchanged for food & non-alcoholic beverages (10.2%), alcoholic beverages & tobacco (9%) and communication (2.5%).
