ArticleTinubu Receives Copies of UN’s Proposed 2027 BudgetPresident Bola Tinubu has received copies of the United Nations’ proposed budget for 2027. The seven-volume budget document was presented to the President by Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Jimoh Ibrahim, at the State House. Ibrahim, who chairs the UN Committee on Budget and Administrative Matters, said the proposed budget was still subject to scrutiny and approval by member states. He, however, described the presentation of the document to Tinubu as significant, underscoring the importance of Nigeria’s engagement with the United Nations on budgetary and administrative matters. The proposed 2027 budget will undergo the necessary review and approval processes before it can be adopted by the international organisation.
