Benin Republic would deploy 150 soldiers to the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), a regional force made up of five countries to fight Boko Haram.
A statement by the Deputy Director Army Public Relations, DDAPR, Multinational Joint Task Force, MNJTF, Colonel Mohammed Dole said Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic had already sent their troops since late 2015 to join the Nigerian forces at Ndjamena, the Chadian capital.
Boko Haram has killed more than 25,000 people in Nigeria in seven years and over 1300 in Cameroon since 2013, including 70 soldiers.
A regional taskforce set up in January last year has taken time to be formed and has been starved on funds.
